SUMMARY
Our letter supports a campaign by Friends of the Boundary Waters.
It asks Governor Tim Walz to direct the Minnesota DNR to cancel Twin Metals’ state mineral lease, preventing the company from creating and operating a copper sulfide mine near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Twin Metals has failed to meet the requirements of its lease, and the DNR is entitled to cancel it for noncompliance.
We will send your email messages to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and you will also have the opportunity to tweet your message to him.
Governor, instruct your DNR to cancel Twin Metals’ copper-nickel sulfide mining mineral lease for lack of compliance.
NOTE: While we support the campaigns of various organizations, we’re not associated with any of them, and we don’t share our member information with any person or organization. Ever.
