Our letter/comment supports a campaign by the Endangered Species Coalition and its 442 member organizations.
It asks the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries Service (the “Services”) to reconsider revising a rule changing the definition of the word “harm” concerning endangered species. The new definition would exclude habitat destruction or degradation as a harm, even though it plays a major role in whether an endangered species recovers. DEADLINE: May 19, 2025
Tell the Trump administration to protect endangered species by maintaining the current definition of “harm”
NOTE: This is a formal comment to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries Service (the “Services”). The entire submission—including any personal identifying information—will be posted on the https://www.regulations.gov website.
