Our letter supports campaigns by Demand Progress, the National Campaign for Justice, Democracy for America Advocacy Fund, and other organizations committed to protecting free speech. It urges Congress to refuse funding for the president’s project that could label Americans who disagree with the administration’s policies as “domestic terrorists.”

This policy includes people who express what the administration deems “anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, or anti-Christianity” views, “extremism on migration, race, and gender” opinions, or “hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.”
