SUMMARY
Our letter/comment supports a campaign by the National Women’s Law Center. It requests that the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality reconsider the designation of Head Start as a “federal public benefit,” a change to exclude immigrant children from the program.
The law expressly excluded Head Start from that designation, and this change is a further attack on immigrants as well as on Head Start. DEADLINE: August 13, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT
Urge the AHRQ to reconsider its designation of Head Start as a “federal public benefit,” which would exclude immigrant children from the program.
