SUMMARY
Our letter supports a campaign by People for the American Way. It asks the Senate to oppose the nominations of Kathleen “Katie” Lane and Kara Westercamp. The vote is anticipated for the week of May 11th.
Lane was rated “unqualified” for the position of District Court Judge by the American Bar Association.
Westercamp, currently working on Trump’s trade/tariff policies, is nominated to the court that would hear such disputes. Her position on that court raises serious conflicts-of-interest concerns.
