SUMMARY
Our letter supports campaigns by Americans for Financial Reform, the Democracy for America Advocacy Fund, and other organizations. It asks Congress to reject the GENIUS Act because it amounts to an industry-friendly set of weak regulations that fail to adequately protect consumers and police illicit trading of stablecoins (cryptocurrency).
Senator Elizabeth Warren states, “This bill provides even more opportunities to reward buyers of Trump’s coins with favors like tariff exemptions, pardons, and government appointments.”

Vote “No” on the GENIUS Act. It opens the door to fraud and exploitation.
