TAKE ACTION: Tell the administration to protect our drinking water from nitrate pollution
SUMMARY
Our letter supports a campaign by the Union of Concerned Scientists. Eighty-three environmental groups support their position.
It asks the various administrative officials to use their authority to curb dangerous nitrate contamination in drinking water by lowering the maximum contaminant level.
We will send your email messages to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the EPA Administrator, and the EPA Director of the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics. You will also have the opportunity to tweet your message to them.
Safeguard our drinking water from nitrate pollution. Decrease the current maximum contaminant level.
